Our elegant Hill Country barn and unique Texas sized gazebo offer a perfect setting for romantic weddings, vow renewals and celebrations of all kinds. Gilbriar Gazebo is situated on a ten-acre historic farmstead only 2.5 miles from Main Street in Fredericksburg, TX. Part of the original German settlement, the stone house was build in 1882. The farm had fallen into disrepair when the current owner, an interior designer from San Antonio, fell in love with it. Looking past the shabby state that the place was in, she could see the potential to bring it back to life as a welcoming place full of flowers, wildlife and joy.
The old tin barn was the last of the buildings to be refurbished and it was totally transformed. Looking at it today, most people can’t believe the ‘before’ photos. The roof was raised, the exterior was re-skinned and the old tin was used inside. So while the exterior is more clean lined contemporary, the interior is highly textured and vintage. It is fully air conditioned and heated for your comfort.
Both the groom’s changing room and the bride’s changing room have private bathrooms. The spacious catering kitchen has a private entrance and easy access. The dining hall with its original tin and timber ceiling holds 150 celebrants. And of course, there are plenty of bathrooms and everything is handicap accessible.
But probably the star of the place is the elegant 40′ covered gazebo. Particularly graceful, it easily balances both contemporary and vintage Texas Hill Country vernacular. Surrounded by wildflowers and roses, it makes for a particularly memorable ceremony. Gilbriar Gazebo is the perfect place for gracious Hill Country weddings and celebrations in charming Fredericksburg, Texas.
