When they called us, these clients were considering $6,000 worth of new granite countertops. We quickly realized that we could get more visual impact by tiling the backsplash. We used the $5,000+ savings to buy furniture and accessories for two other rooms.

We added a new tile backsplash to this 1950's kitchen, both for practicality and good looks. Rearranging the appliances increased counter space and improved the flow of the room.

In this apartment kitchen remodel, we removed half of the wall separating the kitchen and the dining room. This doubled the visual space and improved interaction between the rooms. By reconfiguring the appliance arrangement we were able to increase cabinet storage even though we removed the upper cabinets shown in this 'before' photo. The new tiles were custom painted and installed in an onyx background. A slate counter tops the new half wall.
